More about Samson Rope
Now celebrating 140 years in business, Samson Rope has been a rope manufacturer since the late 1800's. Their founder, J.P. Tolman, was in the first graduating class from MIT, and was keen to develop durable, lasting ropes across a variety of industries. Samson Ropes made a popular clothesline that allowed them consistent funds to develop the first synthetic double braid rope—a massive innovation for the industry.
Samson has worked with NASA to develop lightweight cargo lines, in the marine industry creating durable nylon ropes for tankers, and in the arborist industry serving tree care specialists with quality climbing and rigging lines. Today, Samson is pioneering some of the highest-tech ropes with HMPE for commercial and industrial applications.
